Beauty Product Reviews

Feels amazing!

This is my all time favorite lip stick! It's pigmented, creamy, and feels great on the lips.

The consistency of this lipstick is unlike any other. It is a combination of a liner and lipstick all in one. It's thick, and it allows for perfect application... There is no need for a lip brush here! Although it's thick, it's also creamy and it glides on smoothly.

It definitely is a hydrating lipstick, with pigmentation greater than most lipsticks that claim to be hydrating. When you apply, there is also a cooling, tingling sensation, which is supposed to make your lips plump. I didn't see a dramatic difference, but it felt nice. The flavor and scent of this lipstick is light and pleasant.

Better than high end!

This bad boy is better than even the most high end mascaras I've tried. It lengthens and holds curl beautifully, and you don't even need a primer.

The consistency, after a few uses, is on the dry side. The applicator is great quality and it isn't plastic like most drugstore wands. The scent of the formula isn't offensive or strong.

The best way to apply this is to curl your lashes and do slow sweeps from root to end of your lashes. If you want some more length, don't start at the root again, otherwise you'll risk getting clumpy. Get more product out of tube and wiggle a little product at the end of lashes. It gives great length and volume. It's also light enough to be layered with other mascaras.

The downside to this product is it seems to dry out quicker and there seems to be less product in the tube compared to many mascaras I used. Or, it might just be because I used it more than any other mascara I've used :P This mascara retails around 10 dollars, which is a little high for drugstore, but it's definitely worth the price!

Yucky!

I purchased this product because I was caught by the gimmick. It looked so cool on the commercial!

The scent was clean, and it did it's job at removing makeup. However, it left my skin itchy and tight, and I started to form red bumps on my face. My skin doesn't normally breakout and I could tell after a few uses that this was what was doing it. The ingredients contained salicylic acid, but not enough to treat acne prone skin.

It is affordable, but at what cost? The scrublet at first is really neat looking, but with greater thought it is a breeding ground for bacteria. A washcloth is most definitely more exfoliating and provides a "deeper clean" than this piece of plastic with little nubbies. It is also more sanitary.

Made me break out!

I purchased this self tanner at the suggestion of an associate at sephora. The scent of this product was sublime! It smells like suntan lotion and the beach which what drew me towards getting this product. I had intentions of purchasing St. Tropez, but they were all sold out.

The application was simple, just apply like you would any self tanner. However, I found that it took a VERY long time to dry which made the outcome of the appearance awful. It rubbed off on the backs of my legs because after applying (and I thought it was mostly dry) I went to bed. There were other splotchy spots on my arms, but I don't think it's because of the formula, but how I applied it. I exfoliated, etc., but it is clear to me now that it needs a lot of time to dry.

The color was a beautiful tan and a true brown color after one use. It did not look orange or yellow. This product contains avocado, jojoba oil, and vitamin E, and it left my skin feeling very soft. However, I broke out in a rash on my chest. I have eczema, but I have used self tanners prior and I never broke out in a rash.

This product is worth a try. It's $28, but there is a lot of product. Just remember to allow plenty of time to dry. I returned this item because it broke me out, but as I said before, I have very sensitive skin and other people may react differently. If you don't like it you can always return it.

Great for a bronzed goddess look!

This lip gloss is a beautiful peachy pink, with gorgeous bronze shimmer. It's a perfect shade for summer and it's universally flattering for all skin tones. The color is sheer, but noticeable and can be layered with a wide array of lipsticks or pigments. This is my favorite lip gloss to layer with matte and not so great lipsticks that I want to use up.

The texture is smooth and isn't overly sticky. It doesn't slide off your lips, but like most glosses it must be reapplied after about an hour depending on what you are doing. The packaging is cute, sleek, and easy to use.

There are a few downsides to this product, however. My number one gripe is the price. It costs $24 for .28 oz/8 grams. For that price, I expect it to be long lasting and for it to have real crushed gold in it ;). For a lesser price you could find multiple lip glosses that do just as good as a job. Another problem I have with this product is it's taste and smell. I would not recommend it to those with have sensitive noses, for it has a chemically, unpleasant scent. The flavor tastes like chemicals as well. Beware if you plan on kissing or getting close to someone while wearing this one!

If $24 is burning in your pocket and scents and flavors aren't a huge deal to you, then give it a try. It's a nice lip gloss, but I wouldn't repurchase because of the price.
