Selected shade: soft nude (peachy pink nude)
Pros
- pigmented
- creamy
- long-lasting
Cons
- can be drying after a while
Comments
I'm not too crazy about nudes, however this one is great. I love the pink/peach undertones. It compliments my skin tone and doesn't wash me out. The formula itself feels moisturizing for an hour or so, but then dries out a bit.
Selected shades: dollhouse pink 967 (barbie pink), just peachy 903C (peachy pink), mauve outta here 907C (purple pink), pinkerbell 968 (coral pink), rose bud 904B (rosy pink), think pink 901B (bubble gum pink)
Pros
- pigmented
- opaque
- long-lasting
Cons
- drying
- packaging (tube wiggles around and sometimes won't scroll down)
Comments
These lipsticks are so pigmented and have great staying power. I find that these are best applied with very minimal amount of lip balm, otherwise it can apply streaky and unevenly. The finish isn't so flat, though - it's more of a semi-matte finish. Rose Bud would flatter every skin tone, it's a warm neutral shade of pink. Mauve Outta Here is a little on the bright side with purple undertones, while having just enough pink to it to make it wearable. Just Peachy is incredibly flattering and is a lovely nude shade with both pink/peach undertones. Think Pink is a very mod-looking light pink. Dollhouse Pink is your "pink friday" kind of color - a very in-your-face bright, cool-toned pink. Pinkerbell is a bright flamingo pink with coral undertones, your dupe for Viva Glam Nicki.
Selected shades: dolly pink (barbie pink), rose (bubble gum pink)
Pros
- pigmented
- long-lasting
- works great as a lipstick
- great color selection
Cons
- drying
Comments
I love wearing these as lipsticks - they stay on so well. They have a great color selection, too. My favorite one is "rose" - a bright bubble gum pink.
Selected shade: pink sugar (sheer fuchsia)
Pros
- very moisturizing
- long-lasting
- smells good
- gives lips slight tingle
Cons
- packaging (must use fingers to apply)
- hard to open container
Comments
Aside from the packaging, I love this lip balm. I apply this at night and wake up with very soft lips and the product itself is still on. I love the slight tingly sensation it gives my lips and the peppermint scent, too.
Selected shades: grapefruit blast, lemon drop, passion fruit pop, taffy go lucky (bright, medium pink)
Pros
- long-lasting
- moisturizing
- smell great
Cons
- sticky
- most are very sheer
Comments
I love these glosses - they have excellent staying power, however I do wish they offered more pigment like Taffy Go Lucky (which is a very pretty pink). Since most of these are clear, I like pairing these with my lipsticks for some shine and moisture. I can't get enough of how good they smell, too!
Selected shades: 525D (magenta), 511B (fuchsia)
Pros
- pigmented
- creamy
- long-lasting
Cons
- drying
Comments
These lipsticks are incredibly pigmented and the formula is great for the price. I didn't care for "525D" because it was too purple for my liking. "511B" is gorgeous, but I wouldn't repurchase because it isn't something I wear often. It's a very bright fuchsia, pretty much neon on my lips (and a little too '80s). I love the lipsticks themselves, but not so much the colors I chose.
Selected shades: born with it (sheer beige pink), cranberry cocktail (deep red), pink perfection (rosy pink), lucious pink (sheer baby pink, limited edition), hi-tech plum (sheer barbie pink, limited edition)
Pros
- not sticky
- moisturizing
Cons
- doesn't last
- sheer
Comments
These glosses are so sheer (with the exception of "cranberry cocktail")! I do like that they are very moisturizing and creamy, though. I had no use for "born with it" and "pink perfection" took a few layers in order to get the color to show up. "Cranberry cocktail" tends to bleed, so make sure you wear this over a liner or lipstick instead. "Hi-tech plum" is pretty, but fades so quickly. I did like "lucious pink", though...works great when paired over nude or pink lipsticks.
Selected shades: bloom (rosy pink) , blush (shimmery light pink), petal (shimmery baby pink)
Pros
- long-lasting
- nice applicator
- not sticky (unless you apply a lot)
Cons
- feels heavy on the lips
- very sheer
Comments
These shades were just way too sheer for my liking and also felt very "heavy" on the lips. If you apply multiple layers in order to get the color to show more, it will just start to feel very uncomfortable.
Selected shades: bubble gum, cherry on top, grape soda, pina colada, tutti frutti
Pros
- long-lasting
Cons
- sticky
- most shades are sheer
- applicator is too big
- pricey
Comments
These are very long-lasting glosses, but that's because they are very sticky. The only shade I really like is "grape soda", which is a beautiful barbie pink. I found most shades to be too sheer for my liking. "Bubble gum" and "tutti frutti" have more shimmer than color. "Pina colada" is very sheer, but works when paired with a nude lipstick. "Cherry on top" is pretty pigmented, but red lips aren't something I wear often. The applicator also makes it hard to apply well.
Selected shades: candy cotton (bright barbie pink), kisses (bright bubble gum pink)
Pros
- pigmented
- creamy
- long-lasting
- moisturizing
Cons
- not available in stores
- poor shade selection
Comments
I love the formula of these (moisturizing and stay on well), however I do wish the shade selection was bigger. "Cotton candy" is incredibly bright and not very wearable, but still a fun shade. "Kisses" is more up my alley and looks great when paired with a baby pink gloss.
