I live in Sigtuna, just outside of Stockholm. How about you?
I'm liking it so far, extremely different from what I've been used to my entire life, but I do like it. I'll like it a lot more once I can speak Swedish and get a job and some friends :)

I live in Linköping, so about 1,5 hours from Stockholm :) Learning Swedish must be a pain... for anyone I mean, since there are so many things about the Swedish language that just don't make sense grammatically. I know what it's like to move abroad and try to make friends. Do you think that Swedes are hard to get to know? I think so, I think Swedes in general can be quite.. reserved, I guess. I thought it was a lot easier to make friends when I lived in England anyway ;) I really hope everything will work out for you and that you'll meet a lot of nice people :) x

You're definitely right about the grammar of Swedish that doesn't make any sense, however, it's not as hard as I thought because so many of the words sound very similar to English words of the same meaning. Everyone tells me that Swedes are very reserved and don't like making new friends that are especially foreigners, but so far I haven't really encountered that problem. Maybe it's because I usually meet new Swedes at a party when we're both drunk, so it works :) But I have yet to make some good friends that I can actually hang out with and talk to on a regular basis. It is hard, the hardest thing has been finding a job though! Any suggestions? Wished you live closer to me :)
