Beauty Product Reviews

I’ve been a huge Hello Kitty fan since I was a little girl so I had my mom purchase this for me and send it overseas. If I had seen these polishes in person, I would have definitely opted out of buying them.

The colors are appropriate for the upcoming Spring season. The glass Hello Kitty container part is adorable. However, the handle of the applicator is really cheap looking. It looks like some silver handle that would be on a child’s toy.

As for the product, it does have an opaque coverage with just one coat. I always apply two coats and a top coat. However, less than two days later, the polish is chipping off! I am a big proponent for pricey nail polishes like OPI or Orly’s but only because when applied to your fingernails, your manicure should hold up for at least last a week. I really can’t justify spending ten bucks on a nail polish that will only last two days at the most.

I think if you are going to invest in one MAC eye brush, the 217 is the most versatile. You can use it as a blending brush and to apply color to your eyelids. Although I think it does a better job at blending than applying color, you can definitely use it for both.

The bristles are very soft but I do personally think that the circumference of the brush is slightly big for my eyes.

I was hesitant to purchase this brush because a ton of people said that the brush was quite rough on their skin. I ended getting it anyways since the brush is intended for the meteorites. When feeling the brush with your hands, it does feel a little rough, however, I use it everyday and it doesn't irritate my skin at all.

Fortunately, I was able to pick up this brush (the one with the white handle) at an airport duty free shop. It cost $30 and no tax. I think at Sephora, it's $36 plus tax? Not sure but I've never seen the brush at an actual store, I think it may only be available online or may only be purchased at certain stores.

Anyways, I think it does a fantastic job at picking up color from the product. I've used other brushes (I tend to stick with dense flat top brushes) and I think this one did the best job. However, I think you can use any face powder brush and it will work best for the meteorites.

After washing the brush, it has shed some hairs. Hopefully it will stop. The brush also has a fairly short handle similar to travel size brushes. I personally prefer shorter handles because I feel I have better control. It comes in a velvet pouch so you can take in your purse.

I'm a big fan of Smashbox eyeshadows. I only have one single eyeshadow and the eyewish palette. I mostly prefer Smashbox shadows over other brands because the colors appeal to me. I think I would get the most use of their shades.

Just by looking at the colors at the Sephora, I knew right away that I would be purchasing Cabernet. It's a great maroon/plum color. It has some shimmer but it is very subtle and wearable.

I'm not an expert on eyelash curlers because I usually just wear fake lashes. Also, I don't have much to compare it to since I've only ever tried the ELF eyelash curler.

The Shiseido one is much more comfortable to use on my eyes. It's never pinched my skin and it does a decent job of curling my almost non-existent Asian eyelashes. I will, however, give the Shu Uemura eyelash curler a try one of these days just to compare since it seems just as popular as the Shiseido one.

I'm not too impressed with very many MAC products. Actually the only products I really like are the shadows and the brushes. If you have the extra cash, definitely pick this brush up.

The bristles are very soft and easy to clean. I haven't experienced any shedding. The handle is light weight and it picks up shadow very well. I mostly use the 239 to apply color onto my eyelid color. However, if you don't want to spend the $24+ (not sure how much it costs) on an eyeshadow brush, there are definitely other great quality and cheaper brushes.

For one dollar, this brush is a fantastic deal. Since it is only one buck, it isn't the most luxurious item. The handle does feel a little cheap but that's not very important.

Anyways, several people compare this to the MAC 239. I would say the ELF one is flatter and thinner in comparison. The brush is pretty soft and picks up color very well.

I would say I was pretty fair-skinned during my younger years up until I moved away for college that was literally a two minute walk away from the beach. So for the next three and a half years, I acquired a great tan!

However, after moving to a place with "real" winters, my natural California left me pretty pale and pasty! I now seriously pass by mirrors and become surprised at my complexion. I was considering this bronzer or the Guerlain one but eventually chose this one.

I use this mostly to dust some color on my face. I'm not particularly good at contouring my cheeks but I do use this to contour my nose a bit. The color suits me well and the quality of the product is quite nice.

Definitely a high quality blush! I have Oasis, Orgasm, and Amour. My favorite is definitely Oasis. I absolutely adore the shade and I think it compliments me the best.

The only thing I dislike about Oasis and Orgasm is the shimmer/glitter effect. I sometimes break out along the cheeks and the shimmer just emphasizes it! Nonetheless, they are fantastic blushes that are highly pigmented. I would suggest using a lighter hand when applying these blushes.

The one thing I like about MAC paint pots are the beautiful colors!! They are, however, quite deceiving because I don't think the colors pay off is true to what you see when looking at the product.

I completely agree with the other two people who disliked this product, it feels really thick and dries out really quickly. It's such a shame because the packaging looked pretty durable but you can noticeably see the difference in the product when it starts to dry out.
