Julie D.'s (juliedey) Beauty Product Reviews
I bought both this and the toner, and I didn't see any results so I was thinking about chucking it but decided to stick with it just in case because I know that it usually takes a few weeks but gradually my acne cleared up slightly.
However, my only problem is that my skin got used to it after a while and it 'stopped working' whereas it wasn't making the rest of my acne go away, I was still getting breakouts, but not as often as before.
It does feel very smooth and silky on the skin and I did feel a bit of tingling after having it on a few seconds and that is a bad thing because even if cleansers say "deep cleaning" or something like it, it still takes about 20 seconds of being on the skin to clear all the dirt and grease sitting on the skin which then allows the cleanser to fully get into the pores and I don't want my skin to be burning after only 5 seconds.
I bought this as well as the Fast Forward Top Coat and together they work really nicely!
This polish goes on really nicely and it dries so quickly that you only have to wait about 5 seconds and by the time that you're done doing your other hand you can start putting on your polish!
The only thing that I don't like is that it does get thick after a while and then it's a bother to put on.
I was interested since I had never come across a nail polish that glowed under UV lights but these are so cool!
They go on smoothly and most of them require 2+ coats in order to be completely opaque. The colours are nice and bright and are just slightly off than colours that other nail polishes have, they have a kind of 'creamy' colour.
I find that the three colours that I have look almost the same under UV lights unfortunately which is something I wish could be better.
I bought one of them as a test colour because I was interested in how it looked since I had never seen a dark purpley black with purple microglitter, and I love it. It goes on smoothly but the brush could be improved and looks like a cheap brush and is very bristly, but you can use that to your advantage if you have longer or wider nails.
good but has it's bad points
I was extremely excited about these because some of them look close and could compare to the polishes in Orly's Cosmix FX collection that they released in Fall of 2010 that I haven' t been able to find anywhere!
I like how the glitter in it adds that extra bit of holographic-ness and they go on very smoothly, dry quickly, and last a long time with a top coat.
However, I find that alot of these need 3+ coats because they are very translucent but I imagine that putting these over a base of opaque nail polish could fix that problem, but I haven't got the chance to try it yet.
I have heard about this nail polish for so long and I finally got my paws on it a few months ago.
I have really long nails that are fairly weak so I like to wear this when I don't feel like putting on any nail polish but still want my nails to look shiny and healthy and I also put on cuticle/nail strengthing cream at night which also helps. This product is great for people with short nails who want to grow theirs out, I used it on my friend who has problems biting her nails and she did see a difference and that convinced her to go out and buy it, even though she rarely wears nail polish!
However it's not made as a basecoat so I don't like to use it as one even though so many people do.
love, Love, LOVE!
I absolutely love these. I have 16 of them so far, most of them not shown here and have had them for over a year, most of them. love them all to bits and pieces, they go on so smoothly and don't take very long to dry and the colour payoff is fantastic.
The colour range is incredible, and I love the fact that they're so widely accessible and cheap, unlike for example the brand Orly, which I have to go to a specialty beauty supply store to buy.
The only thing I dislike about these is that they dry out and then get thick after a while, and then they take FOREVER to dry and are harder to work with.
I love everything about these polishes!
I have numerous Orly nail polishes and all of them are fantastic! Orly was the first brand that I found that had a gorgeous gold colour, and they go on really smoothly and dry fast.
I especially love how the bottle has a gripping texture since it makes it easier to open especially since most bottles just have it in metal and it's harder to open when your hands are wet but the gripping surface works perfectly.
great to have around but get thick really quickly
I love these because they have such a long, thin brush and the polish goes on really smoothly, but my only problem is that they get thick really quickly and then they take so long to dry and just look really bad.
I love that they have a wide range of colours and they're fairly cheap. Often times it's really hard to find a right sized thin, long, nail art brush that goes on nicely, is cheap, and has a big range of colours that look really nice but these are perfect!
