Beauty Product Reviews

Not for me

I bought a 1.75 oz from Bed Bath and Beyond randomly, its 99 cents so I thought I would try it out. I have always heard great things about ponds but this didn't work for me, I know theres always a risk of sensitivity with products but this was absurd. The day after the first time I used it, I did my makeup the next day and as soon as the sun hit my face.... it was on fire. I hadn't even realized what it was from at the time and I was inside the rest of the day so the burning went away. I didn't have any visual reaction but the sting was enough to have me making faces during daylight hours. My suggestion is to try it out and make sure to go in the sun before making this part of your routine just in case!

Lame

I bought this with the intent of using it for my OPI nail polish, waste of money. It works fine with cheap nail polish but it leaves an oily finish and unless you are spraying it precisely within an inch of your nail, it gets all over and makes your hands greasy. Not quite olive oil greasy but its not pleasant. Even when I use quick dry sprays I always try to wait a few more mins after using it just in case so I don't wash my hands, so all that goop just sits there unless you try to wipe it away which puts your paint job in danger. Its a spritzer spray so its not easily controlled, aerosol spray is more efficient.

Great color, terrible resistance - Royal 730

The color choices are awesome and they have great one coat coverage..... but they are no bueno in terms of longevity. I painted my nails 2 nights ago and they have chipped a lot. I didn't use a topcoat which prob would have made a difference but its a better test of the quality for me without it. I have used 99 cent store nail polish that has lasted longer and thats sad considering how much nail polish costs these days. Granted these aren't as pricey as OPI but I expect better from Revlon. The only major pro to all of this is the dry time! So if you are ok with touching up every few days, its fine. I didn't have that option bc drugstores around here are constantly sold out, I used my friends otherwise I prob woulda touched it up. Hope this helps!

Decent.

Its good for what it is. It doesn't dry fast enough for my liking and it does nothing for making my eyelashes look thick. It takes time to maneuver so you don't get it all over your eye but I do like the brush. I usually have problems with plastic spoolies but the shape on this is great for getting into the corner and the bottom lashes. Despite that I definitely don't think its worth 18 dollars, 12 maybe but 18 is pushing it.

Better than ice cream.

This lipstick is amazing. Whenever I wear it, I feel gorgeous and confident. A single product that can do that sells itself. Its pricey but you don't need a lot of product and its better to use a lip brush for application so you can make the tube last. Its an investment in compliments and confidence. My grandmothers' friend loved it so much, she bought the same one! 73 years old and rocking the bright pink lip like a hot mama!

Amazeballs.

This is the only foundation I can use without getting breakouts. Because of the pricing, I tried to switch to drugstore brands *mineral and liquid* and they worked for good coverage but they all made my skin worse. I used BM for 3 years and the minute I switched, it all went downhill. The second I started using it again, my skin cleared up within a week and people are constantly complimenting me. I use the lightest foundation color offered and its hard to find something that actually matches my skin tone without making me look gothic and this is where its at. My only dislike about this product is that it only lasts about 10 hours before it starts to look spotty, if I go out for the night... I usually have to reapply completely otherwise it gets cakey :(

Killer liner.

I have always had problems using liquid liner and by no means do I consider myself an expert with such products, however this has been the best I have ever used. I have used revlon, avon, mark, l'oreal and sephora's liquid liner and they never lived up to my expectations. Stiletto Precision has great longevity, I wing my eye first with a regular eyeliner pencil usually cheapy and then I apply this over it and it lasts all day long. I have even fallen asleep with this on and still woke up looking on point. Apart from the rest of my face that is hah. Amazing product, I hope this product sticks around forever!

Wayy too much hype!

I bought 2 Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils in Milk last week from Ulta because everyone gave it such rave reviews. I was incredibly dissapointed, I used it with and without a primer and it flaked everytime. I used 3 different primers and always had the same results. Apart from the scabbish texture it created on my eye, I do have to say it did intensify the colors but with that much flaking I really wasn't looking to draw that much attention to my eyes after the fact.

Orgasmic

This was by far the best lipstick purchase I have ever made. I stick to vibrant pinks and reds when it comes to color choices and not only are the colors magnificent but they last. I have never received so many compliments in one day. I am not a huge fan of Sephora cosmetics but they made an excellent product and gained a lipstick fiending customer for life.
