Beauty Product Reviews

This product was better than I expected. For me, this black eyeliner goes on really black. The first time I tried to wipe it off with a make up wipe, it was still pretty much there. I had to really wipe off this eyeliner to get it completely off. So, in my opinion, it is really waterproof! The only reason that I didn't give it a full 4 stars is because the tip is a little frayed and so it's a little hard to get a precise line. This eyeliner is worth your money if you don't want to spend too much. :)

I have a sample size of this tube and I've been using it everyday for about a month. I was a little intimidated when I first squeezed the product out because it's really bronze. It actually blends well with my skin tone and it creates a subtle glow. In other words, I didn't look like an oompa loompa after using it. I use bareMinerals Original SPF Foundation over it and the primer helps keep it on. It's a good product.

The first time I used this product, I was overwhelmed by it's smell. I've always been using Neutrogena's makeup remover towelettes and they do not have a scent. The wipes leave my skin a little oily after taking my makeup off, but rinsing off my face isn't a problem. Other than that, they really do the exact same job as the Neutrogena wipes. They are also slightly cheaper. I'm only going to stick with Neutrogena's cloths because they don't emit a strong scent.

The primer is really creamy and it has a pinkish tint. It's not like other primers that are clear and gel-like but it does blend out as clear. I think that it locks in moisture well and it helps even out the foundation on top of it. This is a good primer because it does help makeup stick but I don't think it really brightens ones complexion underneath foundation.

This is a really good high end mascara. It definitely lengthens and darkens my eyelashes beautifully. There are many tiny and fine bristles on the wand and you could see that the product isn't clumping on it. The mascara coats every eyelash, even the tiny ones in the corners.

This is a great makeup remover. It picks up every trace of makeup and it really cleans away waterproof mascara. I like that you don't necessarily have to rinse your face afterwards but I rinse my face anyways. I think that it's worth buying every month. I think that people should just buy the refills because you don't need to buy the actual case.

This eyeliner has a really thin felt tip brush that helps you make the perfect cat eye without worrying that the line will be too thick. If you want a more dramatic cat eye look, the brush will give you a lot of control. I think that it is worn best just on the top lash line. It can smudge a little on the outer corner but other than that, I like it! Oh, also, I use this when I want to fix my lash line a little after applying fake eyelashes. The thin brush helps make the lash line look nice and even.

I have two of Sonia Kashuk’s Instructional Eye Shadow Palettes: eye on fall color-03 and prepping for the party lip & eye palette. I bought these because I like following makeup tutorials and there are three different looks for each palette with easy to follow instructions. Although I haven’t used these palettes very much, but I could tell you that the eye shadows are high quality. Eye on Fall Color (featured in the main picture): has nice warm fall tones of eye shadows (hence the name) Prepping for the Party Lip & Eye Palette: has 6 shades of eyeshadow that are great for party looks and 6 lip colors that you could mix and match. The lip colors are pigmented and are just sheer enough if you want to blend them. These palettes unfortunately don’t come with a brush but I think that this brand has great brushes that you could buy separately. These palettes are about $20. I think they’re worth it. The picture above is the "Prepping for the Party" palette.

I bought this because there was a deal with Bare Escentuals products. I apply this on before I put on my Bare Escentuals Powder Foundation and I would have to say that the primer doesn’t really keep the foundation on much better (than if you apply foundation without it) because at the end of the day when I wipe off my makeup, there’s barely any foundation on the wipe. Sometimes the product would be deposited as a liquid, when it’s supposed to be a creamy primer. I’m at the point where the pump will not push out product and so I have to the bottle open to dig for the primer. Application is smooth, and sometimes I could feel that it’s a tiny bit grainy. I don’t feel that the primer necessarily brightens your complexion.

I like this brow gel. The only other brow gel I’ve used was from Tweezerman. When this product is applied to my eyebrows, it doesn’t dry stiff, and it doesn’t flake off. I also wish that they made it with a mascara brush.
