About Me
Since the early age of only 13, I have been obsessed with makeup and cosmetology. I remember so clearly – I had these eye shadows from Hot Topic in these really pigmented, bright colors – pink and red and purple. The pink shadow was obviously my favorite. In seventh grade, I’d apply the eye shadow all over my upper lid, all the way up to my brow bone. I looked a little crazy, but at such an early age, all that pink on my face made me feel flawless.
That obsession followed me and evolved with me. I began watching the YouTube videos and music videos – every look was always so different and inspiring. I remember, specifically, watching Beyoncé’s Run the World music video, and she had this dark, gorgeous eye look, and she looked so powerful and mesmerizing.
I kept practicing and watching the videos, buying semi-expensive makeup products and applying them. I love to come up with new concepts and be inspired by random everyday things, and I love to copy old looks also. Makeup is an art to me, an art I appreciate, love, and adore.
I believe that everyone is beautiful in their own unique way, but the transformation from natural to supernatural is uplifting, exciting and surreal.
I also blog about beauty & fashion (& relationships, it's a lot of fun) and write for <a href='http://examiner.com' rel='nofollow' target='_blank'>examiner.com</a> as the NY Style & Beauty Examiner.
