Those look awesome! I like duochromes used as a base under a design... it makes people do a double take sometimes cuz they can't quite put their finger on what's so cool :)
I only have *gasp!* one!! It's "Not Like The Movies." I really have my eye on the Model's Own Beetlejuice polishes but it's not exactly in the budget after Christmas ifyaknowwhatimean ;) haha I NEED more duochromes :D
Hehe, I know what you mean. :) But those Beetlejuice polishes are sooo pretty! Maybe for your birthday? They're not limited edition shades, so they should still be around.
Funny timing. I just reviewed, swatched, and put a Konadicure over OPI Not Like the Movies in today's blog post! :)
Hehe, it could be that I'm OBSESSED with nail polish. ;) Oh, you should really try Nubar polishes - they have the best multichrome and duochromes! The only thing is that they're hard to find in physical stores, so online is the way to go unless you're lucky finding a store near you that sells their polishes.
Thank you so much! :) You can do this design if you have nail-stamping supplies. It doesn't take too long. (I have a link to my Konad Tutorial if you're interested. If you go to the above link to my blog post, you'll find it.)
Yes, after painting my nails then I used a nail-stamping plate with an argyle print. It's by Konad.
You can see more swatches of the manicure I did on my blog, and if you scroll down this page, you'll see a link to a Konad Tutorial I did when I first got into nail stamping. I think I posted that the 2nd time I tried nail stamping, so it really shows you some issues that you could run into if you're new to Konad. :) Hope it helps. There are also step-by-step photos for my Konad Tutorial: http://www.swatchandlearn.com/nail-...
Thank you so much! I'm still learning a lot when it comes to nail stamping, so I'm glad to hear that you think I did a good job! YAY! Practice really does pay off.
Yes, that duochrome is pretty. Nubar's amazing for those types of polishes. :)
First you paint your nails with a duochrome polish. Then you do nail stamping over it. (I used Konad Image Plate m60 for the argyle.)
If you want to see more photos of this manicure plus a link to my Konad Tutorial, feel free to check out my blog: http://www.swatchandlearn.com/nail-...
There are a bunch of great etailers that carry nail-stamping supplies: WowSoCool.com, BundleMonster.com, and OCNailArt.com to name a few. That's where I get the majority of my stuff from since I can't find them in physical stores where I live, either.
