ELECTRIC BLUE Playful Cat Eye

10

So today I was inspired by The Fourth of July! Can you tell? I know I'm about four days early, but it's never too early to plan...right?

I really want to talk about the eyeliner, because it is honestly the best eyeliner I've ever used. It is a part of MAC's Liquidlast Liner in the color Blue Herizon. I got this eyeliner about 3 years ago, and I never knew how I could use it, or what I could do with it until one day it hit me: JUST USE IT AS A REGULAR EYELINER, DUH?!....so I tried it, and I must say I like it! It lasts all throughout the day, and it won't smudge one bit! It's EXTREMELY water resistant/long wearing, and takes a good rinse to come off. So my suggestion for you would be to layer it over a black liquid eyeliner. This also helps create a more intense color, as well as a more precise application, like a stencil...you know so you won't have one eye look better than the other! Using the black liquid eyeliner will also create a barrier between your skin, and the eyeliner, and make the removing process run much more smoothly for you! The color is very intense, and has somewhat of what I would consider frosty finish.

I toned down my eyes to allow the blue to stand out, with the mixture of a gold, and rose gold eyeshadow all over the lid. I didn't go crazy with my blush, but I decided to add more bronzer than usual, with a soft highlight. I paired it with a bright red lipstick to tie it all together in theme of The Fouth Of July because 'merica!

I think this is an adorable look for the upcoming holiday, and it is super simple to achieve. And you don't have to wait for a holiday to wear this either. I is also very versatile. You can pair it with a nude lipstick, or I would do a bright pink, but that's just me. This look can be taken in many different directions, so I hope this inspired some of you to make it your own.

P.S. My sparkly bow is from Wet Seal, and my top is from Marshalls. Hair as usual is: Goldwell Tophic permanent hair dye in 6VV with a 20 volume developer (6%) as my base color, and intensified with Manic Panic's VAMPIRE RED. My liquid, and pencil eyeliners are both by E.l.f. ($1.00 each, guys and gals!)
