1920's Flapper ~ The Great Gatsby

1

I went to see The Great Gatsby for my birthday with my boyfriend. I wanted an era-appropriate look, since the film takes place during the summer of 1922. The look is based on the ads of the 1920s, in which women would paint their lips into small pouts and smudged kohl across their eyes in a soft yet sultry look. Turquoise and green were favored for the eyes as well. I used Black Market, Unhinged, and Armor (from the Vice palette) to blend on the eye, over the 24/7 pencil in Zero. I concealed by natural lip line (without a concealer brush because I left mine at home ;-; ), lined with a discontinued L'Oreal pencil and then put Covergirl's Euphoria on top after blotting the liner. In the eye photo, I don't have mascara on yet heehee. The pictures are only blurry because of my iPod camera.
