I totally get what you are saying. And I also understand how it can be disrespectful. I have researched the holiday and love the tradition and mind set of it, I just really enjoyed doing the makeup because it allowed me to be representational of him. I think the tradition is very beautiful. Thank you for informing me of the possible disrespect.

It's disrespectful to those who hold the holiday sacred. It may look fun and pretty but it has a lot of meaning behind it. I would only recommend you to do it if you were to be actually celebrating in the holiday. Just out of respect who hold this holiday for their past ones I would say just please don't do this makeup.
