Blanche Macdonald Global Makeup student Pauline King toed the line between horror and grace to great success with this ethereal creature created for her Prosthetic final!
"I wanted to create something both beautiful and evil. This was mainly a texture buildup of illustrator rice paper and alcohol pallette with splatter pattern. Creating a snap of my models frontal bone, I was able to pour gelatin pieces that fit her face exactly. I pre-tinted and texturized my bald cap, then lay down wet clay (which was mixed and melted down with 99% alcohol and water) allowing it to dry for the cracking texture throughout. I used my Iwata airbrush with a pre-mixed water-based foundation for an even finish as well as my beauty makeup with pre-handmade hair laid lashes. I also hand made her wardrobe and feathered headpiece!"
