Easy Romantic Braided Updo

I discovered this look accidentally when a first attempt at a hairstyle fell through. Here's what I did:

I started a French braid behind my ear then continued in raiding horizontally over to the other side of my head.

I tried to gather the loose ends into a bun, but the bun wouldn't stay put. It turned into a floppy sort of side ponytail instead.

I fixed the problem and also created an updo I rather liked by pushing the pony tail over to the center and pinning pieces somewhat haphazardly into the braid.

Finished with hairspray, and it looked pretty and on purpose!

I find the best hairstyle inspirations come from mistakes. ;)
