Beauty Product Reviews

Quite nice!

I've only had this for about a week and I'm enjoying it so far. It has not made me break out to my knowledge. However, it's that time of the month next week, so I already had a minor breakout. It has not worsened or irritated my sensitive-combo skin.

The cream is nice. I like that it is aiming to be "natural". I know it's not straight up organic, such as the coconut oil I had been using previously (and like quite much!), but it doesn't contain those nasty ingredients that most other products have. I use the matching make up remover+cleanser from this line and I'm on my 3rd bottle of it! My skin appears to love each of these products!

The cream itself is not greasy and it melts right into the skin. The smell is non-offensive. I just use the bit that has transferred on the lid and it is plenty to cover my whole face and neck. I don't have a problem with it being in a jar; I'm the only one using dipping my clean fingers in.

In the morning, I wake up to nicely hydrated skin and I'm quite pleased with it thus far. It has done what it claims to do as a night cream. I would buy again! I just love this natural line a lot!

Terrible!

GOOD GRAVY these sting my eyes like hellllo! I'm usually not one to waste products if I can't return them, but this one has got to go in the trash ASAP! I can't remove my eyeliner because it stings so bad. It doesn't even remove mascara well and I don't even wear much let alone a waterproof formula. Also, it feels as though it leaves a residue despite claiming its oil-free. Good thing I wash my whole face after using them. Save yourself the pain and frustration!

Good Stuff

This is the only hairspray at a fair price that I've actually repurchased ever since it came out on the market. It holds my style without making my hair stiff or sticky. There's no flaking or weird smell either. The smell is light - lighter than most other hairsprays.

My HG cleanser

Wow, I'm so pleased with this cleanser that I just bought my second bottle! I have hormonal acne-prone skin, so I can usually never tell when a product really works for me aside from it not worsening my breakouts, other factors, etc. This one has continuously kept my face clear and calm ever since I've used it. Now I only get a couple minor pimples during the time of the month which I can live with! I even tested its efficiency by switching to another cleanser that I used to use before it, and sure enough it didn't make my skin happy. Breakouts had returned! Switched back to this gem and they ceased!

The cleanser itself might not be suitable for those with dry skin types. Personally it does not leave my combo skin dry whatsoever, but from reading others reviews, the dryness is a common complaint. It is 86% natural and I like that I don't feel guilty using it on my skin unlike another type of cleanser with sulfates, pthalates, dyes, etc, too. To me, the scent reminds me of apples and its not bothersome. I don't see how it's "too strong" for some people; they must have very sensitives noses because its really not even that strong, especially compared to others on the market. What's more is it doesn't clog my pores, leave an odd residue, nor fail to remove ALL my make up! It removes revlon colorstay and waterproof eyeliner + mascara. That's a win in my book. I find that I get a great lather using a warm washcloth. My skin feels fresh and clean every time.

It's good mineral foundation.

I have been using this on and off for many years now. I always have it on hand in my make up collection because sometimes I like to switch it up. I change foundations depending on the season (heavier vs light coverage) and my skin, if it breaks out a lot, etc. This ain't bad! I used to use Bare Minerals back in the day when I was a teen, but since I've found a cheaper alternative, why pay more? The brush. Ahh, the brush. Replace it with a nice kabuki brush and you're set. Give the old brush to your baby sister. This CAN be cakey if you apply too much. This is supposed to be for a light to medium coverage, so if you're looking for full, don't bother because you'll hate it. If you have dry skin, this isn't the best fit for you. It's fast and easy to apply for those days you want to look put together yet not totally made up. xo

Cute, but doesn't do the job!

Sure, these little eos babies are cute and all, and even smell great, but they don't moisturize the way I like them to. Their shapes are really cute and unique, but I can see some finding them awkward to carry around. If they were super buttery like other balms on the market, I'd then repurchase.

Yaaaa

So when I bought this, I bought it in medium and its too dark for the purpose of being a concealer. Senhora didn't have the lightest in stock for like days so I just said whatever I want to try it already! BUT with that said, the concealer itself is nice! It covers so well and even brightens under my eyes. I find that it's especially good for concealing blemishes and completely *erases* any redness. I'll repurchase in LIGHT next time! Only thing I don't like is it being in a pot. I know they give you a little spoon, but I lost it. Make it in a squeeze tube, Benefit!!

For the price, it's good

This is my first gel liner. I use the brush it came with for other things (eh art project anyone?) and I apply the liner with an angled brush. It glides on nice and the staying power is good too. I only line my upper lash line with this as I find lining my lower lash line to be harder. Maybe that's just me, but I like to line that with my revlon colorstay liner. I wish this would stay on my waterline!

Who needs falsies? Not this girl!

I got the mini trial size and WHOA MAN! I see what all the hype is about now! It doesn't clump, it adds length, and looks natural! Pretty sure it gets every one of my short lashes!

Black Honey

I know this color looks super dark in the tube, but it is gorgeous when applied. I have read rave reviews on this, so of course I had to try! It feels so moisturizing and the color is beautiful. I got the balm plus gloss (2 in 1) and the gloss makes it look darker if I wanted it to. It's not sticky at all. I just love Clinique!
