Great shampoo.
A stylist once told me that a shampoo shouldn't get super sudsy and that if it did, it most likely contains ingredients that strip your hair of good things while it cleans. So when I tried this shampoo out I wasn't turned off when it didn't get too bubbly.
Sure enough, my hair felt clean and light but not stripped. I use this in conjunction with the K-Pak conditioner and the reconstruct. Great products, especially when you use them together.
Probably saved my hair...
I'm not pro, so when I started bleaching my hair regularly, I'm sure I was doing some things wrong and causing some serious issues. Luckily, I was also using this as a hair mask nearly every other day! Even with regular bleaching, my hair remained healthy looking and wasn't breaking at all. I'm running low, which is scary...my hair needs this- time to go stock up again!
I use this all the time!
When I first started to take my dirty blonde color to platinum I noticed my hair was feeling brittle and looking a hot mess. I read that bleach strips protein so I researched products that are protein based. Enter CHI Keratin Mist!
I noticed a difference after the very first use. After a shower I spray this over all of my hair lightly while it's still wet. In no time I noticed my hair seemed fuller and stronger, with less frizz. This is really one of the only products I use for after shower care and it's done wonders.
Better than UD 24/7
I was looking for a really pigmented, luxe feeling brown eyeliner that would last and last... and I found it!! I couldn't believe that this beat out the Urban Decay in a swatch test. It totally out-performed the UD in non-smudgability (if that's a word, lol). Not only did this stay put way longer, but the color was just as rich and it went on just as smoothly. They're about the same price but I feel this is a better product in general.
I'd probably still go with the UD for their darkest black liner but the winner for brown was Too Faced all the way!
Fun for special occasions (or when you want to feel fancy)
I bought one in each color during a NYX sale because I figured they were just a fun thing to have and might come in handy for Halloween or a special party. If you want people to notice you have glitter on then the glitter is a good size- not too big, not too small. The colors are pretty but not anything too special. I really like Crystal. Definitely a fun thing to own (but maybe best bought on sale!)...
Flowery but seductive...
It's hard to make a really floral fragrance sexy in a seductive kind of way but I think MK pulled it off nicely here. It's light enough to wear year round but not so sugary sweet that you couldn't get away with it when it's really cold out or for a fancy night out. I don't wear it all the time, but every time I do, I'm reminded of why it's been on my "to buy" list for years!
Nice for fall.
This is definitely not a summer fragrance for me. It's warm and has a hint of sweetness with something else... Kristina H. said it reminded her of apple but I haven't put my finger on what it reminds me of just yet. The bottle is cute but I find it awkward to spray from because the top is on an angle. I almost drop it every time! Lol..
Not my favorite scent ever but it'll be nice to be able to mix it up over the colder season with this one.
I was surprised it wasn't better.
Conisdering how much I love their facial skincare line I'm always a little bit disappointed when I use this hand/body lotion. It's a bit thin and doesn't knock my socks off when it comes to locking moisture in. I've used many others that feel like they're doing a better job and aren't as expensive.
Neutrogena is good at this kind of thing.
I really like most Neutrogena products I try-- with the great exception being their makeup remover which I hate with a passion! So besides my bad vibes about their eye makeup remover I find myself buying their sunscreen again and again. I keep it in rotation with my Aveeno, which I also love. The higher the SPF, the better! I say, at least. And as Acne prone as I am (thanks mom and dad), it doesn't break me out. I actually LIKE how it interacts with my foundation. Yay! *claps wildly*
Subtle at best and you'll still smell funny.
So while I find these to be non-irritating to my skin and smell LESS funky than most tanning products, they still DO smell less than wonderful. The "tan" you get is the tiniest hint of a shaddow, I just don't think it's worth the effort... or the cost. I find it makes much more sense to just spend the bucks on a decent self tanner (I like Sun labs) and then buy a nice moisturizer for in between your tan application that won't make you smell so strange all the time.
