Beauty Product Reviews

It Just Doesn't Work For My Type Of Skin

Everyone and their moms love this product. It is a full coverage foundation, and I had really high hopes for this product. I have oily, acne prone skin. I also have acne scars and redness on the cheeks. As far as evening out the skin tone, this did well. However, I felt that the finish of this foundation wasn't the greatest. It didn't look natural and it felt a oily later in the day. It also seemed to have enhance my acne scars more. I bought the urban decay naked foundation instead and I really love that one!

Versatile Product, But Not A Must In Your Collection

I enjoyed having this product because the smell was great, it's refreshing, it sets your makeup nicely, and it feels hydrating. Now that there are a lot of different finishing sprays to use, it's hard to see if this is a holy grail must have item for me (there just wasn't a "wow" factor). What I do like is that it does distribute a fine mist on your fast, and the mist is very light. This can also be used to intensify your eyeshadows. Just spray your eyeshadow brush, pick up some product, and it will look much more pigmented on the lids.

Easy To Blend, Pigmented, With Some Fall-Outs

Packaging: Adorable packaging to have in your collection, but not practical to take for traveling. Definitely on the bulky side.

Eyeshadows: There's a great selection of matte and shimmer eyeshadows. VERY easy to create different looks with this palette. The shadows are very easy to blend and very pigmented.

Fall-outs: The matte shadows are very nicely packed, but the glitter shadows have A LOT of fall-out. It really just depends on your tolerance for a con like this. You have to be very careful when picking up the shadows with your brush, and be sure to pat it on your lid. If you swipe it along your lid, the glitter shadows could easily fall to your cheek and under eye area.

Overall, I've learned to accept the fall-out, but I would have definitely enjoy this palette more if it had a slimmer packaging.

Adorable Packaging With An Average Lip Balm

EOS lip balms are so fun, and it's just the cutest little thing to have in your bag. I do love the concept of EOS, which is focusing on using all natural ingredients. What I also really love about EOS is that they really though out of the box when it came to their packaging. Have you seen any other lip balm shaped like this?! On top of that, the packaging makes it very easy to apply on the lips. The lip balm is a dome-sphere shape so it glides, and fits along the lips very easily. The smell of the lip balms are very refreshing, and it doesn't have a waxy smell like some lip balms have. It's easy to find (Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens, Target), AND it's very affordable. I also feel that it's very pleasing for all ages. A negative side is that it's not the most moisturizing lip product out there. If your lips are chapped, or if they're really dry, I wouldn't recommend this. I definitely reach out to other products when my lips need some healing and moisturizing. This lip balm is something you'd have to re-apply throughout the day.
