We've been getting a lot of press releases on Mad Men beauty secrets from behind the scenes. We know that Christina Hendrick's favorite hand cream is Jurlique, and the foundation used on set is from Koh Gen Do, but we recently received a release that's a little bit different—fake cigarettes!
The '60s era glamorized the idea of smoking (thanks to ad agency executives like Don Draper), and no lady or gentleman was caught without a smoke in hand. To mimic the effect for television, electronic cigarette brand South Beach Smoke created high-tech faux smokes that use pure water vapor instead of tobacco. They're completely free of carcinogen or ash.
So we're curious—with the retro craze in full force, would you ever buy these electronic cigarettes (even if they are chemical-free), to look more Mad Men? Share your thoughts below.

The need to smoke, real or fake is for the weak minded. But to do it just to look cool is just ludicrous!

I'm a smoker and I also have an electronic cigarette that I use from time to time . For example when am around children or at a non -smoking friends house .

Electronic cigarettes seem a bit unnecessary, but it's better than smoking a real cigarette. I say, if you have to look a little silly to keep your lungs healthy, then do it.

Electronic cigarettes just look silly IMO. My boyfriend is a smoker and he tried this out once, you can totally tell they are fake and they don't look cool.

i voted no even though im a smoker i say the only reason to use the fake cigs is to help you quite because alot of ppl struggle quiting more because they want something to keep there hands busy. im actully using something similar to help me quit at the moment

I supposed if you are doing a very outlandish 60's theme party and wanted the effect, I could see using them. But on a day to day basis? That's just silly.
