PARIS FASHION WEEK S/S 2012
A stunning, underwater wonderland was created for the Chanel spring/summer show. Models looked as if they were deep sea pearl divers, and had plunged into the watery depths to emerge with pearls still clinging to their face, hair, and body. Director of makeup Peter Philips created a fresh and dewy look, almost how you would imagine a mermaid's skin to look if she came to live on land. Pearls were stuck on to models chins, eyebrows, and down their spines, which were shown off with cropped jackets.
