The low-slung ponytail at Reed Krakoff reflected the designer’s minimalism. He wanted achievable yet sophisticated hair. “Although ponytails are a style we see a lot on the runway and in real life, women can find new ways of updating it. HAIR

1. Apply Redken Satinwear 02 Ultimate Blow-Dry Lotion to damp hair and rough dry.

2. Create a messy center part.

3. Pull hair back into a low slung ponytail about five inches lower than the nape of the neck and secure with a piece of black leather.

4. Pull a few pieces out around the face to finish and spray Redken Nature’s Rescue Radiant Sea Spray into the ponytail for added texture.
