Up-and-coming designers debuted their spring 2012 collections at the Gen Art fashion show in New York City, hosted by Erika Christensen. The Korres team was backstage providing makeup for the runway. Korres Director of Education Deb Svarc and Cclebrity makeup artist Jim Crawford share the looks they created for the runway below! Which look is your favorite? 

William Okpo

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2012

Makeup at William Okpo, NYFW S/S 2012

The Look: Naked Skin, Pretty Blush of Color

MAKEUP
  1. Prepare skin with Korres Yoghurt Instant Soothing Gel.

  2. Skip foundation and use Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing & Antiwrinkle Concealer to cover discoloration or blemishes as needed.

  3. Apply Korres Lip Butter in Mango with fingers to apples of cheek.

  4. Prime eyes with Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer.

  5. Line inner- and outer-rim of eye all the way around using Korres Eyeliner Pencil in Brown and softly blend around the eye. Draw a line into crease of eyelid and blend, but leave lids bare.

  6. Finish with Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Quince.

Ace & Jig

The Look: Bare, Clean, Minimal, Effortless

MAKEUP
  1. Prepare skin with Korres Yoghurt Moisturising Cream.

  2. Lightly cover discoloration or blemishes with Quercetin & Oak Antiageing & Antiwrinkle Concealer.

  3. Prime eyes with Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer.

  4. Highlight brow bone, cheekbone and eyelid with a clear gloss.

  5. Create a dark, deconstructed, tousled brow using Korres Provitamin B5 & Rice Bran Mascara in Brown.

  6. Drag Eyeliner Pencil in Brown into crease of the eye and blend upwards to make lid look lighter and brow bone stronger.

  7. Dab Eyeliner Pencil in Brown in hollows of the cheek and blend upward to create the illusion of a chiseled, defined cheek.

  8. Dab Korres Sunflower and Evening Primrose Eye shadow in White on inner corner of the eye and on the cupids bow of the lip.

  9. Finish with Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine.

Sunghee Bang

The Look: Natural, Soft, Semi-Matte

MAKEUP
  1. Prepare skin with Yoghurt Moisturising Cream.

  2. Use shine/gloss and Korres Pomegranate Lip Butter on cheekbones.

  3. Finish with Lip Butter in Jasmine and Pomegranate.

Eighteenth

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2012

The Look: Simple, Nude, Illuminated

MAKEUP
  1. Prepare skin with Yoghurt Instant Soothing Gel and Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Primer.

  2. Prime eyes with Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer.

  3. Apply Korres Wild Rose Foundation to face.

  4. Define cheeks with Korres Zea Mays Blush in #16 Pink.

  5. Highlight cheekbones with Quercetin & Oak Antiageing & Antiwrinkle Concealer using a shade slightly lighter than your skin tone.

  6. Dust Korres Wild Rose Mineral Illuminating Powder on the top of cheeks, on T-Zone and wash across eyelids.

  7. Thicken eyebrows with a brush; no mascara or eyeliner used. 

  8. Apply Korres Cherry Oil Lip Gloss in #23 Light Purple to lips.

Jennifer Chun

The Look: Bold, Glossy, Chic

MAKEUP
  1. Prepare skin with Yoghurt Instant Soothing Gel and Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Primer.

  2. Prime eyes with  Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer.

  3. Apply Korres Wild Rose Liquid Foundation to the face only where needed.

  4. Highlight cheekbones, bridge of the nose and forehead with Quercetin & Oak Antiageing & Antiwrinkle Concealer.

  5. Use fingers to stipple Lip Butter in Quince under the hollow of the cheekbone and drag to the center of the cheek.

  6. Apply Korres Eyeliner Pencil in Brown to the water line (upper inner eye) and finish with Korres Provitamin B5 & Rice Bran Mascara in Black.

  7. Apply Korres Mango Butter Lipstick in #38 Cinnamon and top with Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Raspberry.

Ann Yee

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2012

The Look: Lush, Dewy, Vivid

MAKEUP
  1. Prepare skin with Korres Wild Rose Brightening Serum -- for extreme dewiness, mix in Korres Wild Rose Mineral Illuminating Powder and stipple into skin with fingertips.

  2. Skip foundation and use Quercetin & Oak Antiageing & Antiwrinkle Concealer to cover discoloration and blemishes as needed.

  3. Prime eyes with Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer.

  4. Use Eyeliner Pencil in Brown to create a strong, defined brow.

  5. Apply Korres Eyeliner in Black on water line (lower and upper area) and smudge.

  6. Apply emerald green eyeliner to inner corner of eye and drag to outer corner -- keeping as close to lower lid as possible and then smudge.

  7. Finish with Korres Provitamin B5 & Rice Bran Mascara in Black on upper lashes only.

  8. Prime lips to provide opaque canvas for color, then apply Korres Mango Butter Lipstick in #45 Coral and top with Korres Lip Butter in Mango. Blot with tissue to remove sheen and create a matte look.
