NEW YORK FASHION WEEK S/S 2012
HAIR

The vintage influence was evident in Tracy Reese's spring collection. The silhouettes, the muted retro color palette, and the overall styling took cues from mid-20th century fashion. TRESemmé stylist Jeanie Syfu created traditional "roller" hairstyles with soft waves to match.

  1. Apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse to damp hair and flip your head upside down, rough blow-drying your hair with your fingers until completely dry.

  2. Flip your head upright and grab two-inch sections starting from the nape of the neck. Mist with TRESemmé Thermal Creating Curl Activator Spray.

  3. Roll each section of your hair with your fingers and set it with a wide flat iron on high heat. Then, clip the sections into place and continue setting the hair to the top of the head.

  4. Once your hair cools, remove the clips and lightly mist with TRESemmé Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo. Lightly brush through with a flat brush for an airy texture.

  5. Loosely roll sections of your hair to the top center of your skull, starting from the ear on each side. Gather each section hands and fasten it into place with bobby pins. Make sure to keep the rolls loose for a more modern effect.

  6. Pull the remaining length to one side of the head.
