Matte bronzer is a big spring makeup trend, but if you're a woman of color, is it a look you should automatically skip? Not necessarily, says celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine (who works with Tyra Banks and Jennifer Hudson). "A matte bronzer or a pressed powder that's one or two shades deeper than your skin tone is great for sculpting," he says. "If you're a woman of color, you want more sheen rather than shimmer from your bronzer." Avoid any sign of a silver or pearly fleck, something that Sam calls "disco shimmer." "Silver is not a color a brown-skinned woman can wear easily," warns Sam. "Gold is more subtle and forgiving." Here are Sam's favorite warm bronzers for women of color:
1 Cover Girl Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer
2 Iman Luxury Pressed Powder
3 Cargo Blu-Ray Bronzer
