The June travel bug has bitten again and we cannot wait to begin jet setting! But before we go above the clouds, there are a few mile-high beauty dilemmas we need to prepare for while abiding by strict airport carry-on regulations. Long days of travel can lead to tired, puffy eyes, dry skin from lower humidity in air travel and UV overexposure from the rise in altitude and drab hair. So how exactly does one address all of these health and beauty quarrels while complying with the TSA’s 3-1-1 regulation? Here are a few tips to have you looking beautylicious through airport security and beyond!

-
Hydrate your skin Its important to apply moisturizer the night before your travels. Continue to replenish your body and hydrate naturally with light snacks like baby carrots, cucumbers, celery or mango. Just remember to leave any fruit or vegetable leftovers behind if you need to make your way through customs.
-
Keep makeup coverage light The long hours and dry air can lead to clogged pores and drab skin by the time you reach your destination. If you need some coverage, try a tinted moisturizer.
-
Save your skin UV radiation is stronger at higher altitudes, so make sure to apply sunscreen before you fly. If you're sitting at a window seat, pull the window shade down to cut down on UV exposure.
-
Take a sleep mask with you Sleep masks are essential, especially for long flights or when you're switching time zones. You will look and feel rested.
-
Have an eye brightener on hand Benefit’s Ooh La Lift has a wand for easy application and is small enough to keep in your purse.
-
Pack a dry shampoo Clean’s Clean Dry Shampoo is offered in a 3 oz. size and has a time-released fragrance to keep hair smelling and looking fresh. It's also free of parabens and sulfates.
-
Treat your face Once you reach your destination, revive your skin with a mini face mask. Rinse off any accumulated dirt, excess oils and leftover makeup with a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. Then apply a MyFaceworks silk face mask (or any other moisturizing cloth mask) to revamp your skin in just 15 minutes!
