I actually stumbled across the whole beauty blogger and vlogger community! I can’t remember how but I started with my blog, which I found great for communicating with people who shared the same makeup interests as me and through blogging I found Kandee Johnson who is a massive Youtuber. I instantly loved her channel, since she is so helpful and bright. I found more and more YouTuber’s and decided to start my own channel.
It sounds strange to say this but, they really have! It opens up a whole new world of people who share the same interests and who are willing to listen to you and share with you they’re experiences and opinions. I don’t remember what I was doing before blogging and YouTubing! I’, so glad I have been able to meet and talk to so many lovely people through YouTubing.
Sometimes I receive messages from young girls and they say that they are thankful for my videos as they make them feel more confident, better about themselves and they feel inspired by my videos. The first time received a message like this, I couldnt belive it! I had no idea I could inspire people through my videos! To me, I feel like I’m always trying to improve my videos so I had no idea they could reach out to people so much. I think helping other people is rewarding, I know that sounds soppy but it really is!
Make videos about things that interest you. When you’re talking about something you’re not really that interested in, it comes across on camera or in your writing so stick to topics you are genuinely into! Also create videos and a blog about something you would like to watch and read about yourself. I will sometimes ask myself such things as “Would I want to watch that myself?” before I create a video.
That’s a hard one! I love a lot of different brands because I tend to mix and match since usually one brand doesn’t have all my favourite products. For an all-round winner, I would have to say MAC Cosmetics for having a great range. I also love drugstore makeup and my favourite drugstore brands would have to be Rimmel and Barry M. I think Rimmel has great quality and affordable makeup and I love Barry M for their colour range.
I am pretty much always sporting a cat-eye like liquid eyeliner flick! I have done for quite some time and I’m not sure why! I think it’s such a simple, quick and effective makeup look. I don’t usually wear bright lips and usually go for a golden/bronzed face. When I am going out for the night, I’ll create a smokey eye.
