Raw food guru and expert Tonya Zavasta told us the secrets of her gorgeous, glowing skin. Now, she tells us the recipe for two of her favorite all-natural, refreshing face treatments.
REVITALIZING MASQUE
-
1 Tablespoon raw honey
-
1 Mashed ripe banana
-
1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
"Mash the banana and mix everything together with a fork," says Tonya. After you've thoroughly cleansed, apply this mixture evenly all over your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. Remove with a warm washcloth and rinse thoroughly.
SOOTHING MOISTURE CREAM
-
1 Teaspoon cold pressed olive oil
-
1 Tablespoon fresh aloe vera pulp (scraped from leaf)
-
1 Teaspoon raw honey
Mix all three ingredients in a re-sealable cup or glass bottle and whip with a fork until it's as smooth as you can get it. Massage a teaspoon of the ointment gently on your face until it feels hydrated—usually 5-10 minutes will suffice. Refrigerate the leftovers and warm on the counter top for the next use. "Fresh is best, so don't use a batch more than twice," advises Tonya.
