Refresh & Clean Your Hair Without Water

Published Apr 08, 2011

If you want to shorten your morning hair routine, give a spritz or puff of dry shampoo on your roots to absorb the excess oil and leave your hair looking clean and polished. Baby powder also works in a pinch. If you're not sure how to apply dry shampoo or baby powder to your hair, check out 3 Steps To Refresh Your Hair Style. If you want to learn how to create your own dry shampoo at home, take a look at our DIY Dry Shampoo Recipes. Here are our three suggestions of dry shampoos to help you cut the grease and revive your hairstyle.

1 Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo

This dry shampoo spray contains mineral clay to refresh hair and prevent an oily feel between washes. The dual benefit formula also helps re-style hair by adding lift and texture. For a drugstore brand dry shampoo spray, it delivers exactly what it promises and is inexpensive.

2 Cake Beauty Satin Sugar Hair & Body Refreshing Powder For Lighter & Darker Hues

This non-talc dry shampoo powder adds volume and freshness to hair between washings and absorbs perspiration on the scalp (or your skin if you use it as a dusting powder) while providing a soothing effect. It instantly absorbs excess oil to leave tresses and skin feeling (and smelling) clean and polished. The Lighter Hues formula suits fair-to-medium skin tones and hair colors from white to light brown and the Darker Hues formula suits medium-to-dark skin tones and hair shades from medium brown to black.

3 Bumble & Bumble Hair Powder in Black, Blondish, Brown & White

This dry shampoo spray is ideal for oily (or less than clean) hair, styling fine hair and root touch-ups. What's great about Bumble & Bumble Hair Powders is that they come in four different shades so you'll be able to choose one that blends into your hair color perfectly.

I agree with Romee. Stay away from the Tresemme dry shampoo!!

I tried Tresemme dry shampoo, it's big no no! It left white stain all over on my black hair :( that was my first and the last time trying dry shampoo, maybe I should give another shot to dry shampoo.

T3 Refresh Dry Shampoo in Dark and the Rene Furterer dry shampoo are my personal faves.
