Here's a sneak peek at Shiseido's new Summer 2011 Makeup, designed by Dick Page, artistic director for Shiseido Makeup. Dick was a painter before he discovered makeup and still uses pigments (and a painter's palette) to mix test batches of color. Then he takes these paint swatches and heads to the Shiseido makeup labs. So what exactly inspired Dick, maestro makeup artist and backstage star at NYFW, to create these new shades? Night Sky was inspired by the color of an indigo sky over a moonlit Caribbean seascape. Pink Sands (used by Dick on model Raquel Zimmermann in the Shiseido ad visual, above) was designed to reflect the soft glow of evening light on a sand dune in the summer. This limited edition collection isn't out until next month, but if anything strikes your fancy (we're lusting over the rich blue-black Night Sky liquid liner pen), Beautylish Beauties can pre-order at Nordstrom 1-800-7BEAUTY. Because who doesn't want summer to start a little earlier?
