Packing for vacation is tough, but deciding which beauty products to take and how to store them? That’s even harder! We’ve already told you what to take on the plane, and we’re obsessed with makeup artist Lisa Eldridge’s adorable in-flight skin routine, but what should you pack for your trip away, and how should you store it? Makeup artist Susie Sobol (who regularly works with makeup legend Diane Kendel on international campaigns and runway shows) recommends always taking a brush roll to store your brushes, and a brightly colored makeup bag to store your goodies. So what else does a top makeup artist always carry in her suitcase? Here are her essentials for a well-packed trip.
Susie’s skin care essentials:

Clarisonic Mia (the travel size)
SK-II Cleanser and Metamour Rose Oil Spray
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Any travel sized toiletries
Shampoo and Conditioner
Moisturizer
Makeup Essentials:

Mascara
Foundation (Suzie recommends Dr. Perricone’s sheer foundation)
Lip Balm
Two lipstick options
Sunscreen
Blush/Bronzer
Eye liner

I too pack very simply as far as makeup .. I would replace the bronzer/cheek with a similar but more useful multicolored cheek product that can be used as shadow as well --Be sure this product is safe for use on eyes-- I use Aveda's Face Accent in Peach Lights, Bronze Glow, or Tesserae.

i love that she trimmed this down to the bare essentials. some people make the mistake of packing more makeup than they will ever end up using!

She's got packing down to a science! Or an art, as she is a makeup artist. :)
