Fun, Festive Curls

Looking for a fun and flirty hairstyle to try this season? Beautiful bouncy curls are a gorgeous way to transform your look from everyday to party ready, and there are plenty of styles to choose from. Create loose, tumbling waves for a girls’ lunch, a side-swept ‘do for date night, or a pretty, twisted bun with a festive scarf or ribbon for your next holiday party.
How To: Perfect Curls
by LuxyHair x.
How about traditional, tumbling locks for lunch with the girls? This look is soft and pretty, and you can reuse your curls the next day by scrunching in a sea salt spray for messy bedhead waves. We love how Mimi’s locks are so lush and shiny—perfect for the festive season.
Glamorous '80s Updo
by Ashlyn M.
While you may think updos are only for prom, Ashlyn’s side-swept mermaid-inspired look is perfect for date night and ultra-trendy right now. These curls are so thick and voluminous, they’re sure to impress your guy.
Curly Side Bun Tutorial
by Missy J.
Why not add a cute accessory to a curly romantic updo? Missy dresses up a messy-chic side bun with an inexpensive white flower pin, but you could also try tying a festive red or green ribbon or scarf around your curls like a headband.

I absolutely love the luxy hair girls! I'm going to attempt one of these with my extensions for new years!

Quinn M try doing a lose pin curl and leaving it in your hair for about 2 hours or so or until your hair is dry then let them out and you will have curl to style any way you feel like styling them, short hair can be so fun,

These are soo cute!

Use a mini straightener to make small curls in your hair. :)
Here's a tutorial on youtube explaining that:

This lady also curls her hair, but in a slightly different fashion&style:

She uses a 1 - 1 1/2 inch barrel. :)
And here's another one with a different style:

Once you get the hang of it, it seems that there are endless of ways to curl short hair. :) If that's too time consuming, try some mousse as well. I like the Tresemme Extra Firm Control Mousse - it smells good and holds well.
Now besides *just* curling, you can actually do some cute updos as well:

^Curling with cute clips & bobbypins (no heat)

^Small chignon/bun (I still have to read that article explaining the difference!)
Hope this list of youtube videos helped! I'm always on youtube looking for new ways to style my hair. :)

Some great ideas you shared here, Huma. I'm particularly siked to try out the "curling with bobbypins and clips". I hadn't even thought of placing the pins on the ends and rolling the hair over them like that!

Thank you Huma! Yes, definitely love rhe curling with bobbypins and clips! I love the other ones too, but my hair is still too short to twist it and stuff, so... Thanks again! xxxxx

Onyx: Aw, I'm just here to help! I thought that was very clever too! Hope you have fun trying it out :) Please post a picture sometime so I can see how it turns out!
Sarah: Youre welcome! :) Isn't it interesting? If I had short hair, I would have tried that myself! Aw, so you can't do any of those methods? Or can you still do the bobby pin one? If so, please post a picture so I can see how they turn out! :D It's so much fun to look at different hairstyles- especially on beautylish! :)

I think I can do the bobby pins one! Will try it out and post a picture so you can see it!! Can't wait to try it out!! :DD
