We've all heard the phrase, 'Don't judge a book by its cover,' but are we really living by the rule? For some women, the importance of a first-impression appears to be at an all-time high. According to a recent poll conducted by the Vitality Show and reported by The Daily Mail, 91 percent of 3,000 ladies surveyed confessed they would rather cancel a first date than go fresh-faced. Also, more than two-thirds of the gals revealed they would be too scared to go to work without getting all dolled up first. Talk about a nude awakening!
That’s not to say all Beauties feel this way. We were pleasantly surprised to discover this forum topic “40 Days and Nights Without Makeup, Obstacle 1: The Date.” Not to mention, the dominating trend on runways and red carpets this season has been minimal makeup!

It depends on where the date is. But I would always wear some BB Cream, Mascara, Blush and Lipgloss or a Lipstain. Very minimal and natural, but still put together!

Heck yeah!, if you're goin to the beach or sailing for a first date, make up makes no sense to me to even waist my time putting it on! It just really depends WHERE the date's gonna be

Make-up gives me confidence. Speaking for myself, it would be a must for the first dates...of course later on the guy will see the neutral no make-up look eventually anyway, but why not give your best impression possible on your first date?

I would just wear a tiny bit of foundatipon but if the date is fancy, I'd use my homemade lip stain that I made using 2 rose petals

I dont wear makeup my self I wear the bare essentials mascara, lip balm, some blush thats it if I do wear any. I look too much like a drag queen to the left with makeup and face makeup looks horrible on me...as a makeup artist I do looks on my self but I dont like the way I look it's not for me...I do wish I had softer features to pull of the glam look.

Im really not self concious without makeup, if I already knew the guy well I dont think it matters anyway! Yes i would wear makeup, but only a very small amount.

I like the idea. If the date was fancy, id wear a little something. But, hes obviously already interested if youre on the date, so no need to impress him with makeup. I actually feel more comfortable, not conscious if my mascara has smeared, when talking to guys and i have no makeup on.
