Beauty Product Reviews

Chips very easy, Streaky

I really adored the color Iced Queen. It's a blue based purple almost lavender which is super pretty, but the product its self is super runny and goes on really streaky. It also chips very quickly, and by the end of the day, is almost totally off. Please keep in mind, I work in the kitchen a lot and have a lot of cleaning solutions which I wear gloves when dealing with. I also put this on my real nails, and I think fake nails vs real nails makes a lot of difference when it comes to lacquer. I thought the price was reasonable, but then I noticed there really isn't much product in it, and after 5 uses, it is almost half way gone. I really enjoy the colors Maybelline as to offer, and the price isn't bad. Over-all this is not a product I would return too.

Beautiful, Super Glitterly

I ADORE this product. I saved up my points at ULTA, and I only paid about $8 for this which is amazing. I think it's normally $17 or so, but even at that it's a good price for the amount of glitter you get. Every time I wear it out people always comment on how beautiful it is. I went to the MAC counter and they loved it! The best part about it is the glitter is very small, and it doesn't irritate my eyes like LA Splash glitter or NYX glitter which often make my eyes itchy. I think I might have to try out some of the other colors, but Blue Angel is the most sparkly out of all of them.

Amazing Color, A Little Messy

I bought the Xmas pigments, and I am in total love with them. I bought Guilty Passions, and I am in love with Spruced and Moss Garden. The only downside is they tend to be SUPER MESSY. It's extremely hard to get them to stick to a brush. I find that by whipping rather than patting helps a lot. They also aren't long lasting with a base.

Unique Color, Poor Formula

I've been dying for this color since I first seen the preview picture Lime Crime posted on Facebook. Forever, I had been trying to recreate this amazing yellow liner but to no avail. Finally during the Black Friday Sale, I was able to purchase it. While it is an AMAZING color and I do get a lot of compliments when I wear it, the formula is quite lacking. I guess from all the pictures, I was expecting it to be more opaque which it's not even close. It's also EXTREMELY thin. I mean Urban Decay's liquid liners are not as thin as this. Sometimes, it takes 3 layers to get a nice solid color. I could live with this is the actual amount of product wasn't so small...

Poor

I've been wanting this shade forever, so when it came back in stock and was on sale for Black Friday, I knew I just had to purchase it. I own four Lime Crime lipsticks, and this one, out of all of them, is terrible. The color is amazing and it's a show stopper, but when it's on your lips it's extremely chunky and cakey. The only way to make this work is with a lip liner, and even then it's still really nasty. I also have Countess Florescent and Chinchilla and neither one of these needs a liner. I also purchased Serpentina which is okay but looks better with a lip liner. Over all, I am extremely disappointed with this shade which truly saddens me. I read mixed reviews, but I had hoped they reformulated it when they re-released it. Unfortunately, I was wrong. With Lime Crime's ridiculous new "seasonal shades", I don't think I will be purchasing from them again. I love LOVE LOVE their eye primer, but since it's been out of stock forever, there is no point in purchasing from them ever again. I think I would rather buy Urban Decay although it's not as good, and for amazing and epic lip colors, I think I will just stick to OCC.

Smells and Tastes Awful

I bought Fireball hoping it was similar to their lip pluming ones. I really need the red for a photo shot to make a pretty sparkly red lip. When I tried it on, I discovered while it was super pretty and not a terrible price it smelled horrible. The huge brush was extremely nice and easy to use to apply the product, but it also tasted awful. The smell and taste are so bad none of the other positives about this product can stand out. Conclusion, I enjoy the lip plumping glosses from Hard Candy, but this glossoholic was terrible.

Amazing, Long Lasting, Shimmery

I've seen people using NYX pencil in Milk, and I picked this up hoping it would be a good base. It is amazing! I never have any creasing like I do with other cream eye shadows. I usually put Lime Crime Candy Eye Primer under, and I just really love it. Although it's shimmery, the shimmers don't show up under a bright matte eye shadow, like Sugarpill Buttercup Cake. Great color for the inner corners.

Great colors a little pricey

I have Chinchilla and Countessa Florescence. I really really love Countessa Florescence, and I am glad I purchased it during the flash sale a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, both lipsticks look terrible without lip balm underneath. (Specifically Chinchilla as it's more of a frosted look.) For $16 I guess I expected a little bit more, but if you are a color junkie like me, these are a must have.

Holy Grail

This is my go to primer for vibrant looks. I love this product. Although, I don't like it so much for really muted looks. Also, if I put Hard Candy Baked Eye Shadow over this, it DOES NOT blend. Still an excellent product.

Works extremely well

I really love this. I bought the Lemon one, and I was hooked. Unfortunately, I lost it and bought the Honeysuckle one to replace it. I don't think I like this as much. To me it smells like fake little kids makeup, but it still works as amazing.
