About Me

I am obsessed with cosmetics. When I was a little girl, I used to take a bunch of rocks and pretend that all the rocks were cosmetics/make up and pretend it was my own store. As I grew older, I went to school for Makeup and Skincare at Madison Cosmetology School. I graduated, then proceeded to try Cosmetology for HAIR.....lets just say HAIR wasn't my thing. Even my Instructors told me I should probably find something else to do, (which was totally rude and bitchy of her, but true..lol )

But to make a long story short, all my adventures brought me back to square one, my true passion, which is making other women feel beautiful about who they are inside and out. I love learning as much as I can when it comes to cosmetics and skin care, because it will always keep changing and someone is always going to be better.

I've learned that money, status, things and people can not make you feel full-filled, the only things God and love. So follow the things you love, love the people you meet and you will be so rich in your life because you are, happy!

Take the Risk and follow your gut/heart/mind and the rest falls into place.

FAQ

Q.What is your best beauty feature?
A. I guess I'd have to say my hair. I always get complements on it. Also, my smile I suppose.

Q. What are your favorite skin care products?
A. I love lines that are active and natural or active and gentle. First Aid Beauty, NUDE, Ole Hendrickson, Orgins and Fresh.
I also enjoy PETER THOMAS ROTH. He has the best cleansers, serums, un-wrinkle peel pads. Basically His line is amazing. That is the only line I will pick up that is chemically active. I enjoy the anti-aging cleanser. ( that is what I use, every other day. Then I use the First Aid beauty cleanser because it is gentle and soothing.) KATE SOMERVILLE is amazing too! ( Used it on clients and it is great!)

Q.What is your beauty weakness?
A. I'd have to say, maintaing my nails.

Q. Beauty tool must have?
A. Clarisonic baby!

Q. What is beauty to you?
A. When I was younger, being beautiful meant looking exactly like Britney Spears ( back when she was in "Im a slave for you stage." A Victoria secret model, Etc. Now I've come to terms, beauty is unique. Everyone is or can be beautiful. Beauty is when you do not compare yourself to others, you just see who you are as a person and enhance what you have joyfully because you are in charge of you. I think it is MORE amazing when women/men have a desire to have beautiful character and walk with integrity!

Q. How do you find great beauty products?
A. Honestly, before I worked at Sephora I truly followed the "trend" of beauty. Finding the right beauty product is like having your OWN style. Everyone can WEAR FASHION but STYLE is where it's at. I used to buy whatever everyone was " buzzing about". Truth be told, those products did NOTHING for me. Do not fall INTO what the MEDIA PUSHES on you to buy. Just because it worked great for Jane, doesn't mean its going to do jack squat for Amy. To be 100% honest, most popular lines are not as great as they CLAIM to be. It is all personal preference and the best product lines are pubically known but not over advertised.( Examples= Fresh, First Aid Beauty, Orgins, ) ( Over advertised are = Clinque, Dior , Lancome..etc.)
It is hard to trust anyone when they say " TRY THIS IT WORKS!" My best advice is, STAY close to a genuine beauty consultant/makeup artist and tell them your skin type, and adress your issues they can guide you in the correct direction. You can sense who is real, we all can. LISTEN!

Another thing, Sephora's website gives a story for each line. Pay attention to what the"Mission Statement" means. Find out your skin type. Get samples, read reviews ( some can be negative as hell, but pay attention to what they are saying.)

Read, READ and READ. Or ASK ME! I can truly help you! :D
Do you're homework before you buy expensive things. Also, the Clarisonic is a great product for everyone. If you are having skin issues, INVEST IN ONE. Get the correct brush head and do not share! Also, stay the heck away from the cleanser....unless you have normal tough skin. :P
