Chamar L.'s (ChamarL) Beauty Product Reviews
Um...well....ok.....yeah I got nothin!
Ok, I will say this. It's not freakin terrible.....but it ain't freakin great either! So at first when I put on the first coat I was like "ok, not bad" but then at the second coat I was like "c'mon don't be afraid to get a little longer and thicker!" So I wasn't jumping up and down about this mascara. However, this would be a great mascara for everyday looks where you are not wearing a ton of shadow or keeping it light, but when I say tha,t I'm saying it is a bare minimum ok. If you are about to go in with the shadows and ball out with a glam eye......don't you reach for this Mascara girl! because like finding a great lookin man thats actually an idiot...you will be dissapointed!
?????? not all that!
The packaging is what drew me to this mascara, but honestly, I like my lashes to scream "LOOK AT ME AND FALL IN LOVE!" but this just didn't do it. I guess because I like my mascara to give me length and volume, but I had to add like a million coats to even get the length I wanted, then had to comb out the lashes......to much work for me, the MAC haughte and naughty lash did it for me the first time out the gate, this.......did not!
My favorite mascara
My only issue with this mascara is that it's $20.....I hate that, but I can honestly say.....it's the best mascara I've ever used! It does everything it says it will do. using the pink "natural" side, my lashes are beautiful! LOOOONG and separated! NO CLUMPS! then when i add the sparkly drama side, one coat and it's like POW! watch out now! my lashes scream "LOOK AT ME AND FALL IN LOVE!"
Holy Bananas!!!!! my new baby!!!!
The colors in here are a bit more on the cool side than the first Naked palette which had more warm and chocolate browns, however this one is amazing!!!! my only problem is seeing half baked again but that is minor. My favorite color is suspect as it blends well with my skin tone so anyway................loved it right away, use it everyday, totally worth the pay....that's all I gotta say!
I have more than one!
I have like six of them! I buy one a week I'm so obsessed!!!! I usually never wear lipsticks, but this is a lipstick/balm! so the color isn't overpowering, my lips feel hydrated and soon as I smooth them on and it leaves me with a beautiful, sheer, classy color! I love reapplying because it's super quick to do! I have creamsicle, pink truffle, peach parfait, sugar plum, sugar frosting, and strawberry shortcake! my next buy will probably be cotton candy and berry smoothie (you all see how obsessed I am? I'm planning next purchase!) seriously ladies, these lip butters are sheer and classy. They can be worn everywhere. I'm a school teacher and love the fact that I can wear these lipcolors without my lips looking overdone, they also blend beautifully with great eye makeup! and for only $7 a pop!
Wonderful!!!!!!!
I have MAC cremesheen glass in boy bait, and I have to say the name says it all. Boy bait is a very pinky nude color that has a ton of high shine. I wear this with neutral/natural eye looks. It has a tendency to set off the whole look and take it from everyday to glamourous in a subtle way. I have been married for 10 years and this has been my husbands favorite thing to see me wear. He told me he could stare at my lips forever.....so I guess the name is on point! I highly suggest this product!
Not what I was expecting
I initially walked right past this mascara in Sephora. I looked at it, but wasnt drawn into it. I later saw a video review about it on youtube and decided that I wanted to definetly try it. Im going to be honest and say that if you are doing a natural eye look where there is not a lot of color on your eyes and you want a good length then this is it. However I was expecting more volume and length than what it actually gave, i tried to use the end brush and it just caused clumps. All in all, I will finish it up in hopes that something wil make me want to rave about it, but I probably wont be quick to buy it again, as I have seen drugstore mascara do better.
Is this really worth the money?
The answer to my question above?......absofreakinlutely! I never considered myself a makeup snob that had to stick with only one brand, and MAC just seemed so freakin overdone, however, I saw Rose Quartz and absolutely LOVED it, when I bought it I fell in love with it even more! it gave me a perfect was of glowy color (used with the right brush, the one I love to use with these particular skinfinish is my MAC 116 it allows someone thats heavy handed with blush like myself to pick up just the right amount and build if need be) and I also use the outer ring of pink for eyeshadow at times.
Um...no words can explain the GENIUS of this Palette
my heading said it all, this is a genius palette! there isnt one look I havent been able to do with this palette. Ive done Kardashian smokey eyes, everyday neutral looks, high glam night out looks! I mean usually I hate paying a ton of money for makeup but there was NO guilt factor here! it was worth it! I got it in December of 2010 and I STILL have a ton of shadows left!
