Beauty Product Reviews

Many lush lovers favourite!

Many people I talk to about lush rave on about Honey Bee, it's sweet smells and the soft feeling it creates on the skin. Personally it's my favourite too.

However this will not be everyone's cup of tea, the sweet smell can be over powering at times.

Beautiful, best blush from Benefit yet!

I love Benefits blush boxes, they always have beautiful shades and last a good length on the skin. Hervana is the best yet, being a light pink when all the shades are swirled together, perfect for pale girls! It's quite heavily priced, but the blush will provide loads of applications, I don't think I'll ever manage to use it all up.

Great coverage, needs setting powder.

One of the best concealers for dark circles under your eyes. Covers easily without much of the product being needed and looks quite natural too. One problem is that it creases quite a lot, so it needs setting with a powder. Still worth it for the great coverage though.

Lasts ages!

One of the cheapest gel liners on the market. Doesn't apply very smoothly, but with a steady hand application isn't too difficult. It lasts all day easily, doesn't move at all! You'll need a proper make-up remover to remove it. For the price of this liner, it's amazing quality!

Simply Gorgeous

I brought the Lavender Soap because I love the smell soo much! It smells of Lavender but it's not too over powering, it's quite subtle. I brought one of the smaller square bars which will last me ages and only cost £4.50. It leaves a great clean feeling but isn't too drying on the skin. I'm just addicted to the smell :D.

Sorry L'Occitane

I really do love L'Occitane and all their products so far have been great - especially Divine Cream deffo worth the price. However something went wrong here. This eye balm is no way near sensative enough to be using around the eye area. It causes a tingling sensation when it's applied which is bad news. It made my dark circles worse and caused my outside corners of my eyes to go red and sore. L'Occitane make many products 100 times better than this one.

Good Alcohol Free Toner

Alcohol Free Toner is difficult to come by. Alcohol drys out the skin so isn't to be desired. This toner has a gorgeous floral fragrance and feels so refreshing on the skin. It goes perfectly with the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. Really gentle and removes any traces of make-up or dirt left after cleansing.

Designer Series, Well worth the extra pennies.

I've recently discovered the designer series in the OPI collection. These polishes have a gel like finish, and great coverage. Only two thin coats is needed and they have minimal chipping. The colours in the collection are simply gorgeous. I have Tapestry, my favourite colour from the series.

Clean and Smooth.

I've always stuck by what Paula Begoun has taught me. All cleansing should be gentle. Harsh cleansing irritates the skin, meaning long term effects are ones not to be desired. With Liz Earle, your cleansing is always gentle. I really trust them to take care of my skin. I do suffer with combination/oily skin, but harsh chemicals is not the way to go. They only make skin worse. This product gives a gorgeous clean feeling after, but not a tight clean feeling, a healthy one. The skin feels smooth and clean and looked after. To keep spots and blackhead in line use a facial scrub before hand.

No blues? Love it.

In a means to satisfy my cravings for an Urban Decay palette. I settled up on the Feminine Palette. While in the store, I was struggling to find a palette without a blue eyeshadow. Blue eyeshadow isn't my thing. When the assistant pulled out the Feminine Palette I knew it was the one for me. All the colours are gorgeous. It contains your neutral shades as well as your more experimental ones. The eyeliner in black means it goes with everything. I've never been more thrilled with a palette. The eyeshadows don't crease or fade even without the primer potion. They're so highly pigmented and have only a little fall out. I'm in love.
